Northern Europe's largest aquarium in Hirtshals offers an exciting adventure below sea level. The 10,000 m2 indoors, 6000m2 outdoors, 75 aquariums, and more than 7,000 fish and other sea animals, provide a full day of experiences in the wet element. Guests can explore the secrets of the sea by diving all the way to the bottom of the sea, crawling around the shipwreck, catching crabs with their bare hands, and feeling the forces of nature. They can pat a starfish on the back, stand face to face with a seal and search for the gold of the North Sea. Great sea experiences await both outside and inside.
Look a playful seal into the eyes
In the big outdoor area, you can meet the biggest predator Denmarks, grey seals, and their smaller relatives the harbor seals. You can follow their elegant movements in the underwater tunnel while you will be charmed by their adorable looks. On the outside, you can follow the feeding which happens two times a day. Furthermore, you can see the seals lying on the enclosed beach and enjoying the sun.
Sea giants and cute predators
In "The Whale Researcher's Cabin", there is an opportunity to explore the whale researcher's exciting world. At times, the huge skeleton of the fin whale from Blokhus can also be experienced up close.
Denmark's largest predator, the seals, you can experience up close in the large outdoor facility, and the 12-meter underwater tunnel.

Have your adventures on turbo
Let the children loose in the outdoor play areas. In the outdoor area, you will find two challenging playgrounds, including Denmark's largest whale play area, where you can climb and slide. You can catch crabs with your bare hands and go hunting for amber. Get out on the rocking sea on "Ship o 'Hoy" and climb all the way up to the lighthouse.
By the Lighthouse - new outdoor area with space for play and relaxation
Outside, behind the playground and the lighthouse which is a true copy of Hirtshals famous lighthouse, guests can experience the brand new, delicious outdoor area which is simply called By the Lighthouse. The area contains both beautiful green areas and hilly terrain, where there is plenty of space for both play and relaxation. Hear the sound of the rippling water from Emmersbækken that snakes its way through the area. If you have a packed lunch, you can enjoy it in one of the six shelters equipped with benches and tables.

Travel passport for all children
Go hunt with a travel passport in hand, children can explore every nook and cranny of the exhibit and find the 10 stamps. Once the children have found them all, a diploma and a sticker will be handed out.
The North Sea's shop "Pakhuset" has wealth of souvenirs, gift items, books, and much more. Look in and let yourself be tempted by the exciting items.
3 new unique aquariums
The new exhibition includes 3 new aquariums, you can see jellyfish, shoals and predatory fish quite closely. The unique design of the aquariums, built through 2 floors, provides a very special sensory experience!
