Visit the lovely Gallery Vetro located in the heart of Hirtshals. Here you can see the beautiful glass art and glassworks.
The different art works are created in ‘flame’ also known as Hot Glass technique. Hot Glass covers glass blowing and flamework where the glass is melted and then created into a work piece.
Susan Vivi Sørensen creates jewelry, sculptures, lamps etc. The gallery is a working studio where Susan are happy to tell about the art form and the story behind the works.
Susan is inspired by the ocean, the tough nature and the special light. She uses these elements throughout her art work.
Vetro is the Italian word for glass and the method of flamework is dated back to Northern Italy and the middle ages.
