Havet og Fjordens Hus - Water Sports Mecca
The Sea and Fjord House consists of two separate buildings. One of them is a modern water sports center, serving as a central hub for all types of water sports, with facilities for swimming and changing included. This house is home to the Thorsminde Coastal Rowing Club, recognized as Europe's first center for coastal rowing.
The other part of the Sea and Fjord House is the old school in Thorsminde, which has been converted into a nature school. Here you will also find the Thorsminde Hall and the Mindbocenter. Additionally, the nature school building is used for training camps, school camps, and activity days.
In this part of the Sea and Fjord House, there is a large kitchen, dormitories, three single rooms, a nature guide room, and common areas offering various activities such as table tennis and different games.
The Sea and Fjord House and Thorsminde Hall can be booked by associations, schools, and other organizations by contacting the Sea and Fjord House or via AktivHolstebro.dk.
It is possible to rent the hall on an hourly basis for 50 DKK per hour for badminton or other ball games. Contact the Sea and Fjord House to get a code for the hall.
Between the two buildings, visitors have the opportunity to rent a wilderness bath and a sauna, as well as use the bonfire area for cooking and relaxation. There is also a covered area where you can enjoy your packed lunch.
