Vrå Bryghus
Make your way to Vrå Bryghus and experience a fantastic atmosphere in the beautiful old station building located in the middle of Vrå. Here you will experience "hygge", guided tours and plenty of beer on tap and in bottles. At Vrå Bryghus, we brew with respect for the craft.
Vrå Bryghus & Bryggeri is located in the old station building in Vrå. The train stops right outside. If you take trains from Skørping or Aalborg towards Frederikshavn, Hjørring, Hirtshals or Skagen or return, you will pass right by.
Vrå Brewery is Denmark's first social economy brewery and are in favor of sustainability. We brew with malt from Lophave, and when the beer is finished, the residual product (mash) is taken back to Lophave, where the cows get it as feed. Our beer series from Ingstrup Dairy is brewed with the residual product (whey) obtained from the production of cheese.
Local brewery with local ingredients
We use local ingredients as much as possible. Vrå Bryghus & Bryggeri helps create development in the local community, supports associations and cultural life and participates in local integration work. We brew beer for the ordinary beer drinker. Our beers are easy to drink and span a wide range from lager to stout. We simply love traditional, tasty beer. And we love happy people. We are happy to welcome you in our cozy utility room.
The Brewmaster
The story of the brewmaster Our brewmaster Kent Boalth was trained as a certified brewer under the now sadly deceased brewmaster Peter Klemensen at Thisted Bryghus.
- He was employed here from 2006 to 2016 as a brewer.
- In 2016, the tour went to Berentsens Brygghus in Eggersund, Norway.
- After 1 year in Norway, it was time to get Danish soil under his feet again, and in 2017 he helped start Frederikshavn Bryghus.
- In 2019, he was employed as Brewmaster at Løkken Brewery.
- In the spring of 2022, the opportunity came to take over the operation and production at Vrå Bryghus.
Kent Boalth is probably best known for its traditional, tasty beer. He is a person with lots of fun and high spirits. And you are always invited inside with a smile and a good chat.
